Most of those deported had violated residency laws, while others were caught with drugs or alcohol and were referred by the General Department for Combating Drugs. Public Security authorities had transferred the individuals to the Deportation Center ahead of the process.

How Deportation Works in Kuwait

The process typically begins with contacting the deportees’ sponsors to provide flight tickets. If the sponsors fail to do so, the Ministry steps in and arranges the deportation, then blocks the sponsor's future applications until the government is reimbursed for the travel costs.

This system holds sponsors accountable while ensuring swift action when laws are violated.
