Kuwait’s 2 Months Crackdown Results in Deportation of 7,685 Expats

Kuwait has recently stepped-up efforts to identify and deport individuals violating labor and residency regulations. Over the past two months, these efforts have resulted in the deportation of 7,685 expatriates, according to the Ministry of Interior.

Sources reported that in September alone, the authorities deported around 3,837 individuals, consisting of 2,272 men and 1,565 women. These individuals, handed over to the Deportation Department, came from various sectors and included workers who had fled their employers and those involved in inappropriate activities.

Furthermore, in August, approximately 3,848 expatriates were deported for violations of national rules and regulations. It's important to note that efforts to track down those violating residency laws are continuous across all of Kuwait's regions.

The authorities are urging both citizens and other residents to avoid sheltering any workers who have eluded their employers or have ongoing cases against them.
