All About the New Visa Category in Kuwait

The decision to modify Article 4 of Ministerial Resolution No. 957/2019, which called for the introduction of a new category of entry visa to Kuwait, was made by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled.

The new category is an entry visa in Kuwait for participating in sports, cultural, or social activities. This new visa's purpose is to allow people who are participating in social, cultural, and sporting activities inside the country.

In order to provide flexibility and alternatives for extended stays for eligible candidates, the sporting and cultural visas will initially have a three-month validity period with the option of renewal for up to one year from the date of issuance.

Individuals must apply for this visa through authorized organizations such as sports clubs, social groups, cultural associations, or other pre-approved organizations, adhering to the rules established by the authorities.
 

Business reports predict that Kuwait's implementation of the new visa category will be beneficial for the sports and tourism industry.
