In an official statement on Monday, the General Staff of the Kuwait Army confirmed that the missiles being discussed were flying at “very high altitudes and outside Kuwaiti airspace.” The statement emphasized there was no threat to national security or territorial integrity.

“There is no cause for concern,” the army said, urging citizens to avoid misinformation and rely on verified updates from official sources.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait National Guard also addressed rumors that its forces were conducting air operations. The Moral Guidance Directorate denied the claims, confirming that the Guard is carrying out routine defense and security duties in collaboration with the Ministries of Defense and Interior, with no exceptional aerial missions taking place.

Emergency Readiness and Safety Measures

The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) also issued a statement on its readiness to respond to any emergencies, including those involving chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear threats.

Brigadier General Mohammad Al Gharib, Director of Public Relations and Media at KFF, highlighted their use of advanced detection equipment, specialized vehicles, and protective gear to safeguard land, sea, and air entry points across the country.

Tensions have spiked in the region following Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, sparking concern across neighboring countries. In response, Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Totonji, reassured that Kuwaiti citizens in Iran were safe and faced no travel restrictions.

He reiterated Iran’s commitment to peaceful relations with its neighbors and criticized the recent attacks, blaming Israel and indirectly the United States. Totonji warned that any violation of Iran’s sovereignty would be met with a strong response but stressed that Iran respects the territorial integrity of its neighbors.

At an emergency session in Vienna, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director-General Rafael Grossi confirmed that the attacks on the Natanz nuclear facility in Iran had not caused any radiological impact outside the country.
