No Radiation Leak in Kuwait, Public Urged to Ignore Rumors

Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has dismissed circulating reports about radiation leaks in the country, calling them false and misleading.

No signs of radiation risk

Ministry spokesperson Abdullah Al-Sanad confirmed that all radiation readings remain within normal, natural levels, with no unusual activity detected.

“All readings recorded to date fall within the natural baseline limits, and no concerning changes have been observed,” he said.

24/7 monitoring in place

Authorities reassured the public that Kuwait operates a round-the-clock monitoring system under a comprehensive national framework.

This includes:

  • Seawater monitoring

  • Freshwater testing

  • Airborne particle tracking

  • Radiation monitoring stations across multiple locations

Public urged to avoid misinformation

The ministry advised residents to rely only on official sources for accurate updates and avoid spreading unverified information.

Bottom line

There is no radiation threat in Kuwait, and monitoring systems continue to operate normally.
