Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense has confirmed that 67 members of the Kuwaiti Army have been injured since the beginning of recent attacks targeting the country.

In a statement released early Friday, the ministry said the injuries occurred during ongoing defensive operations following what officials described as Iranian aggression against Kuwait. Authorities added that the injured personnel are currently in stable condition, although two soldiers remain under medical observation.

Ministry spokesperson Saud Al-Atwan said the country’s air defense systems have been actively intercepting incoming threats since the start of the attacks.

According to the ministry, 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones have been detected and intercepted during the course of the operations. The interceptions are part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to defend its territory and protect critical infrastructure.

Officials praised the response of the armed forces and highlighted the role of air defense units in neutralizing aerial threats before they could reach their intended targets.

The Ministry of Defense reiterated that the armed forces remain on high alert and are continuing to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding the country and ensuring the security of its citizens and residents.
