Kuwait to Demote More than 200 Teachers in Supervisory Positions

The Ministry of Education in Kuwait will relieve 200 expat teachers who are working in supervisory positions at the beginning of the second semester and after the end of the mid-year vacation according to Gulf News.

Al Anba newspaper reported that these jobs would be given to Kuwaitis who are waiting for their turn to be promoted. The move is part of the ministry’s plans to Kuwaitise supervisory positions

Those working as heads of departments in Kuwait schools will be demoted to teachers at the beginning of the second semester.

“After examinations of the current school year, the services of a number of non-Kuwaiti teachers will be terminated at all stages of public and private education in specialities where there are large numbers of national replacements,” Kuwaiti Minister of Education Hamad Al Adwani said.
