Renowned strength and conditioning and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach Charles Allan Price has announced full sponsorship for five young Kuwaiti ADCC champions, marking a significant investment in the future of submission grappling talent in Kuwait and the broader region.
The athletes are Mustafa Al-Ghanim, Eissa Al-Nashmi, Rakan Al-Nashmi, Adel Al-Ghanim, and Abdulaziz Al-Nashmi.
Price, known internationally for his work with elite athletes across combat sports and BJJ, including helping top competitors prepare for high-level events, will now extend his support to a new generation of ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) champions from Kuwait. His guidance will encompass training, strength and conditioning programs, competition logistics, and travel support, enabling these athletes to train at world-class standards.
The sponsorship package is designed to remove financial barriers that often limit athletes’ ability to compete internationally. As part of the agreement, Price will provide personalized coaching input and access to tailored performance regimes that have previously benefited champions such as ADCC Europe Trials winners and elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors.
ADCC is one of the most prestigious submission grappling competition platforms worldwide, and Kuwait has seen strong participation and results at regional ADCC events in recent years, with local grapplers frequently reaching podium positions across weight divisions.
The five sponsored athletes, who earned their ADCC titles through standout performances at domestic and regional qualifiers, expressed excitement about the partnership. They said the support from Price will help them focus fully on refining their technique, physical preparation and strategic development as they aim for continental and global ADCC championships.
In announcing the sponsorship, Price said his goal was to “create pathways for committed athletes to realize their potential on the global stage,” noting the growing talent pool in Kuwait’s grappling community and the sport’s expanding popularity across the Middle East.
This initiative is expected to raise the profile of Kuwaiti grapplers internationally and contribute to the development of submission grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the region. With enhanced resources and expert coaching, the sponsored champions are now poised to push for higher honors in the competitive world of ADCC.
