UAE Airlines Extend Bahrain and Kuwait Flight Cancellations

UAE airlines Emirates and Etihad Airways have extended their flight cancellations to Bahrain and Kuwait. The travel disruptions are now entering their third consecutive week due to regional situations.

If you are planning to travel with Etihad Airways, please note that flights between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain are affected.

"Etihad Airways flights between Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport and Bahrain International Airport have been cancelled due to operational reasons," the airline said on its website. "The safety and comfort of our guests and crew is our number one priority. We apologise for the inconvenience to your travel plans."

In addition, Etihad flights EY653 and EY654 between Abu Dhabi and Kuwait International Airport are also cancelled due to operational reasons.

For Emirates passengers, services between Dubai, Bahrain, and Kuwait are suspended until at least August 5. The three daily Bahrain flights (EK835, EK837, and EK839) and the four daily Kuwait flights (EK853, EK855, EK857, and EK859) are all cancelled.

Meanwhile, other UAE airlines like flydubai and Air Arabia are still operating flights to Bahrain and Kuwait. However, some of these flights may also face last-minute changes or cancellations. We highly recommend checking your flight status before heading to the airport.

These flight changes are also affecting international airlines. Many global carriers are adjusting their flight paths and schedules due to airspace restrictions and safety measures in the region.

• British Airways: Flights to Dubai, Bahrain, and Amman are paused until October 25. Reduced flights to Doha and Riyadh are still running.
• KLM: Flights to Dubai, Riyadh, and Dammam are suspended until August 23.
• Lufthansa Group (including Lufthansa and Swiss): Flight schedules to several Middle East destinations have been adjusted.
• Air France: Flights to Saudi Arabia are temporarily suspended.
