Prayer Timings and 57 Sites Confirmed for Eid in Kuwait

Kuwait has announced that the Eid Al Adha prayer will take place at 5:03 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025. The prayer will be held in 57 designated outdoor locations across all governorates, in addition to mosques where the usual Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers are held.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs confirmed that sites such as public squares, youth centers, and sports fields have been prepared to handle large gatherings during the prayer. These sites are expected to help manage crowd flow and create a smooth prayer experience for worshippers.

Public Urged to Arrive Early for the Prayer

Bader Al Otaibi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Mosque Sector at the ministry, encouraged the public to come early and follow the instructions of the event organisers to ensure a peaceful and organised prayer.

Eid Al Adha, one of the most significant religious events in Islam, marks a time of prayer, sacrifice, and acts of charity. The first day of Eid is also known for its large public prayers held at dawn.

Five-Day Holiday Announced for Public Sector

In line with Eid Al Adha and the Day of Arafat, the Kuwaiti government has declared a five-day break for public sector employees. The holiday will start on Thursday, June 5, and continue until Monday, June 9. Work will resume on Tuesday, June 10, giving workers a long weekend to celebrate the occasion with their families and communities.

This extended break allows residents to spend time with loved ones, attend Eid prayers, and take part in the traditional festivities.
