Kuwait Opens 2027-2028 Wedding Hall Bookings Online

Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr Amthal Al-Huwailah announced on Thursday that reservations are now open for 28 wedding halls for events in 2027 and 2028 through the “Dar Al-Munasebat” and “Sahel” applications. The step is part of a full operating plan designed to provide better services for citizens while keeping safety and readiness standards high.

Speaking to KUNA, Dr Al-Huwailah said the Ministry of Social Affairs has made the maintenance and upgrade of wedding halls a top priority. She said this reflects the ministry’s duty to protect citizens and ensure service quality. She also confirmed that no hall will be opened for booking until all maintenance work is completed, the needed technical approvals are received, and all safety requirements are met.

Reservations are being opened in phases, based on each hall’s readiness. This means halls will be added to the booking system as soon as they meet all operational requirements. Dr Al-Huwailah said this approach helps balance more booking options with high facility standards. She added that the ministry is also preparing to add several multipurpose halls to its service network soon, giving citizens more choices across different governorates.

She noted that development and renovation work is continuing in several halls to improve operational efficiency and increase capacity, especially with rising demand in the coming seasons. Technical teams are closely following maintenance progress and carrying out inspections before any hall is approved for use. Once a hall meets the required standards, it will be added to the available booking dates. Dr Al-Huwailah said these steps support quality standards and ensure the safety of visitors and users.

She also explained that moving reservations to the electronic system makes it easier for citizens to check available dates and complete booking steps quickly and smoothly. This is in line with the ministry’s plan to expand and improve digital government services. The minister said the ministry will continue its development programs to modernize the wedding hall system, with a clear focus on stronger safety standards, better service quality, and improved government services. – KUNA
