Kuwait Announces 5-Day Holiday for Eid Al Adha

Kuwait's Cabinet announced on Tuesday, April 29, that the country's public sector will have a five-day holiday for Eid Al Adha

The holiday will begin on Thursday, June 5, and work for the public sector employees will resume on Tuesday, June 10.

The Eid Al Adha holiday has not yet been announced for the private sector and educational institutions.

Eid Al Adha in Kuwait is a significant religious holiday marked by prayers, family gatherings, and the tradition of animal sacrifice.

It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.

During this time, mosques are filled with worshippers, and charitable acts are common, as families share meat with the less fortunate. Public holidays allow residents to celebrate with loved ones and enjoy festive meals across the country.
