Kuwait Arrests Six Over Drone Violations During Security Alert

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has arrested six individuals for operating aerial drones without permits, violating regulations and previous warnings issued during the current heightened security period.

Legal action underway

Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib confirmed that the suspects have been referred to competent authorities for legal proceedings. He reminded the public that unauthorised drone use is strictly prohibited and urged citizens to avoid filming or sharing images and videos related to ongoing security developments.

Interception operations continue

Over the past 24 hours, explosive ordnance disposal teams responded to multiple reports of drone debris, bringing the total incidents since the start of the escalation to nearly 500. Air raid sirens were activated twice, raising the cumulative alerts to 118. Bouslaib highlighted that national unity is key to confronting these challenges.

Customs ensures supply chain continuity

Separately, the General Administration of Customs activated an emergency plan to maintain smooth supply chain operations amid air traffic suspensions.

Spokesperson Raed Al Mathkoor explained that air cargo shipments are now being rerouted via land through GCC and neighboring countries, with clearance procedures completed at air cargo facilities to enhance efficiency.
