Kuwait's Health Ministry Shut Down 20 Pharmacies for Violating the Law

The Ministry of Health's inspection team shut down 20 pharmacies in Kuwait for violating health laws, the ministry announced on Sunday, May 28th.

The inspection teams found the pharmacies to be in violation of the Law Regulating the Pharmaceutical Profession (No. 28 of 1996) as amended by (no. 30 of 2016). This law stipulates the conditions under which pharmacies should receive their licenses to operate.

The law also dictates that it is legal for any pharmacy in the country to operate without any license under the conditions set out by this law.

The pharmacies were shut down after diligent observation conducted by the ministry's inspection teams based on which the pharmacies closed.

The health ministry's inspections emphasize their commitment to upholding the standards for pharmacies to ensure public health safety.
