Kuwait Welcomes ICJ Measures to Address Crimes in Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait has expressed a warm welcome to the additional temporary measures announced by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning the violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.

These measures were announced in response to a lawsuit filed by the Republic of South Africa regarding Israel's breach of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.

The ICJ's actions aim to immediately compel Israel to adhere to these measures, emphasizing the crucial need to protect the Palestinian people from such violations and provide essential humanitarian assistance. The deteriorating living conditions and widespread destruction in Gaza underscore the urgency for an immediate cessation of the occupation's aggressive actions.

In a statement, Kuwait underscored the importance of the international community exerting pressure on Israel to fully comply with ICJ directives and UN resolutions promptly. Additionally, Kuwait advocates for expediting the delivery of humanitarian aid through all available means and border crossings to avert a humanitarian catastrophe.

The State of Kuwait stands firmly in support of ICJ measures to address Israel's actions in Gaza, urging swift and comprehensive action to uphold justice and safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people.
