Kuwait Condemns Church Shooting in Hamburg

Kuwait has expressed its strong condemnation of Thursday's mass shooting in a church in the German city of Hamburg, which left a number of people killed and injured.

At a briefing on Friday, the German police said four men and two women were shot dead, in addition to an unborn baby, whose mother survived. Also, eight people were injured.

All the dead were German nationals, while the injured included a Ugandan and a Ukrainian.

Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country's firm stance against extremism and terrorism.

In a press release, the foreign ministry called the attack a "sinful criminal act that contradicts all moral, religious and human principles and values."

The ministry expressed Kuwait's condolences to the families of the victims. It also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
