The ministry said it expressed its “profound grief and sorrow” over their deaths. Officials did not disclose the precise location or circumstances surrounding the incident.

Firefighters killed while performing duties

In a separate statement, the Kuwait Fire Force confirmed that two of its officers were also killed while carrying out their duties.

The announcement, shared on social media platform X, did not provide further details about the incident or the identities of the firefighters.

Earlier in the day, Kuwaiti authorities reported that firefighters were working to extinguish a blaze at fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport following a drone attack.

Unclear connection to airport fire

Officials have not yet confirmed whether the firefighters’ deaths were linked to the airport fuel tank fire or to other incidents associated with the ongoing attacks.

Kuwaiti authorities continue to monitor the situation as emergency teams respond to incidents related to the reported drone and missile strikes. Further details are expected as investigations into the deaths and the related security incidents continue.
