29 Individuals Held for Taking Videos of Drone Attack Sites in Kuwait

Security crackdown targets photography at sensitive sites while traffic enforcement continues comprehensive safety campaign.

Kuwaiti authorities have referred 29 individuals to the competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior for legal action on charges of photographing a vital site of a recent drone attack.

According to official reports, the group consists of six Kuwaiti citizens and 23 expatriates who were detained for allegedly taking videos and photographs at sensitive locations affected by the drone attack. The move is part of intensified security efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to monitor and address violations around sensitive areas, particularly those related to national security threats.

The arrests underscore the government's strict stance on protecting vital infrastructure and sensitive locations during heightened security situations. Legal proceedings will now determine the appropriate charges and penalties for the individuals involved.

In a separate development related to security enforcement, traffic authorities recorded a total of 2,327 violations during nationwide inspection campaigns conducted last Friday. The ongoing security efforts also resulted in the arrest of 22 expatriates for residency violations, along with additional arrests for individuals wanted on existing arrest warrants and those found in an abnormal state.

Traffic enforcement also identified numerous violations during the nationwide campaign, including 79 cases of mobile phone use while driving, 44 instances of failure to wear seat belts, and 43 cases involving illegal window tinting. These enforcement actions demonstrate the comprehensive approach to maintaining public safety and security across Kuwait.
