The £1,000 fine hitting drivers for carrying too many passenger items

UK drivers can get hit with a £1,000 fine and penalty points if their vehicle is overloaded with passenger belongings. Stuffing the car with too much luggage, and doing it without thought, undermines road safety and also ignores the tight legal boundaries set out in the Highway Code.
