Indian Culture Center in Qatar Celebrates 75th Independence Day

The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), an apex entity of the Indian Embassy in Qatar, is gearing up for yet another huge event to commemorate India's 75th Independence Day under the theme "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav."

Many events have been planned to celebrate the day with fervor and fervour, beginning today with a major cultural carnival. The festivities will go until August 19.

The statement was made yesterday during a news conference at the ICC. P N Babu Rajan, Chairman of the Celebration Committee, A P Manikantan, and Cultural Coordinator Sumaa Mahesh Gowda all spoke at the press conference.

"Ambassador of India H E Dr. Deepak Mittal will launch the 75th Independence Day of India celebrations today at 7.30 p.m. at the ICC Ashoka Hall." "This will kick off the celebrations for India's 75th Independence Day in Doha," stated Babu Rajan.

He stated that a variety of cultural activities will be staged at various sites around the country on all of these days.

"These activities will be actively and freely participated in by many ICC affiliated organizations, Indian sociocultural groups, Indian schools, and blue-collar employees to demonstrate their abilities," Babu Rajan added. He stated that all of these activities are being organized at various sites in order to reach out to all of the communities.

"Finally, on August 19, a renowned Indian team — Danish Hussain Badayuni Qawwali Group — will perform Qawwali."

On a daily basis, ICC intends to reach out to the community through flyers published in digital media, press updates, radio announcements, and social media postings in order to communicate with and reach out to Indian families and communities, as well as other communities, to come and participate.

The celebration will be led by ICC Coordinating Officer First Secretary Embassy of India, Xavier Dhanraj; ICC President, P N Babu Rajan; Chairman, ICC Advisory Council, K S Prasad; GSICC, Krishnakumar; VP ICC, Subramanya Hebbagelu; and Chairman, Finance Committee, Mahesh Gowda.

"We had the key conversation earlier on Friday at the ICC Ashoka Hall." "Exceptional support was provided by all Indian community leaders, including ICC MC members and numerous volunteers from other organizations," remarked Babu Rajan.

He stated that the ICC MCs and president are collaborating and working with Qatari authorities to obtain the necessary approvals to ensure the success of these huge events.
