Terrorist Plot Foiled in Kuwait: Six Arrested, 14 Fugitives Tracked Abroad

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday that a terrorist plot targeting state symbols and leaders has been foiled. Six individuals, including five citizens and one non-Kuwaiti whose citizenship was revoked, have been arrested in connection with the plot.
Precision operations by State Security Service
Brigadier Nasser Bouslaib, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, confirmed that the State Security Service successfully monitored and tracked the network, preventing any attacks.
Fugitives tracked internationally
Authorities have also identified 14 defendants abroad, including:

5 Kuwaiti citizens

5 non-Kuwaiti individuals with revoked citizenship

2 Iranian nationals

2 Lebanese nationals
These individuals are linked to the banned terrorist organization Hezbollah, and were involved in planning assassinations and recruiting operatives to carry out the attacks.
National security remains top priority
Bouslaib emphasized that Kuwait’s security forces continue to vigilantly monitor threats to protect national interests and ensure the safety of the country’s leaders and citizens.
