Kuwait: 11-Year-Old Expat Child Passes Away from Shrapnel Wounds
Health Ministry confirms girl succumbed to wounds at Amiri Hospital; four family members under medical evaluation.
An 11-year-old expatriate girl has died after sustaining critical injuries when shrapnel fell on a residential area in Kuwait’s Capital Governorate, authorities confirmed.
In a statement, the Kuwait Ministry of Health said the child was rushed to Amiri Hospital following the incident. Despite immediate medical intervention and intensive efforts to resuscitate her, she succumbed to her injuries.
The ministry added that four members of the victim’s family are currently undergoing medical evaluation. Their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
Officials did not provide further details regarding the source of the shrapnel but confirmed that the incident occurred in a residential district within the capital. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as investigations proceed.
The tragedy has prompted renewed calls for heightened safety measures amid ongoing regional tensions.
