It’s not your usual comeback post.
Kuwaiti influencer Rawan Bin Hussain broke her silence on Instagram after being released from prison — and instead of glam shots, she shared something raw.
Her message? Prison saved her life.
A Breaking Point in 2024
Rawan revealed that in November 2024, she landed in the ICU after a suicide attempt.
From the outside, everything looked polished. But behind the scenes, she says she was spiralling. A divorce. The death of her mother. Emotional overload.
She coped in ways that made things worse — binge drinking, overusing psychiatric medication, extreme workouts, and keeping the wrong crowd around her.
Arrest, Sentence, Deportation
For context, Rawan was arrested in Dubai and later sentenced to one year in prison. She also paid a financial fine and now faces deportation from the UAE.
It was a public fall. And a very personal one.
“Prison Saved My Life”
In her post, she said jail forced her to stop running from her pain.
“Prison saved my life because I knew my ending would have been tragic,” she wrote.
Instead of seeing it as rock bottom, she described it as a reset — a chance to rise, grow and rebuild with a different mindset.
A Different Ramadan
This Ramadan, she says, will look nothing like her past ones online.
No glam looks. No Iftar spreads. No curated moments.
She plans to step back from social media and dedicate the month fully to faith and reflection. “This year I want to dedicate Ramadan to Allah, our creator,” she shared.
For someone who built her brand in the spotlight, that’s a major shift.
Her story isn’t neat or perfect. But it’s honest. And sometimes that’s the real comeback.
