Kuwaiti fashion influencer Rawan Bin Hussain has been released from prison in Dubai, making her first public appearance over the weekend following her release, according to local media reports.

Rawan’s arrest and sentencing were previously confirmed by the Dubai Media Office, which stated that she was taken into custody on charges of public intoxication, causing a disturbance, and assaulting members of the Dubai Police. Authorities emphasized that Dubai laws are enforced equally, with no exemptions based on fame or social status.

Local reports indicated that Rawan Bin Hussain was sentenced to one year in prison and fined financially. She is also expected to face deportation from the UAE after completing her sentence.

Following her release, the influencer has resumed activity on Instagram, sharing fan edits and celebratory posts marking her return. Her first public appearance since leaving prison drew widespread attention, quickly circulating across social media platforms.

In one of her posts, Rawan wrote: “Praise be to God, abundant, good, and blessed praise.”

The case has reignited online discussions about Dubai’s strict legal system, with many users highlighting the emirate’s long-standing position that laws apply to everyone equally. While supporters expressed happiness at her release, others stressed the importance of respecting local laws and regulations.

The incident continues to serve as a high-profile reminder that residents and visitors in Dubai are subject to the same legal standards, regardless of celebrity or influence—a message consistently reiterated by UAE authorities.
