The meeting brought together top representatives from military and civilian institutions to evaluate how well Kuwait’s critical sectors, like energy, water, and health, are equipped to handle emergencies or disasters linked to nuclear incidents.
Key areas of focus included environmental monitoring systems, civil defense strategies, and emergency coordination plans. Officials also reviewed crisis management procedures for both air and sea scenarios to ensure that any future threat can be addressed swiftly and effectively.
The goal? To tighten cooperation between Kuwait’s institutions and ensure that national response mechanisms are not only well-coordinated but also fully capable of protecting the public in case of a nuclear event.
This meeting comes as part of Kuwait’s broader effort to stay ahead of potential risks and safeguard national security through proactive planning and strong inter-agency collaboration.
