Astronomer Adel Al-Sa'adoun said that Kuwait is currently witnessing Al-Azraq ('Blue' in Arabic) cold season, which is considered the coldest days in the winter.
Al-Azraq usually falls on January 24th and lasts eight days until January 31st, he told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
It is referred to as Al-Azraq as the faces and limbs turn blue due to extreme cold.
Temperatures in Kuwait are expected to reach as low as 8°C on Thursday, January 26th.
