We have launched a new satellite project to explore the moon. It will be an Emirati-made lunar explorer that will land on the moon in 2024 in areas not reached by previous human missions to explore. We named the lunar explorer "Rashid" after the builder of the Dubai Renaissance. Which taught us how to have big and distant dreams. The UAE will be the fourth country in the world to participate in moon exploration missions and the first in the Arab world. The lunar explorer will send data and images for the first time on new lunar areas that will be shared with all research centers locally and globally.
Participating in the exploration of the moon is part of the UAE's space strategy. To build new knowledge potential for the state. And build specialized cadres. To improve the scientific, technical and research environment in our country. The 100% lunar explorer will be built on uae soil and by our Emirati engineers.
