There were some particularly memorable food trends in the 1970s that entered into American kitchens. Eating convenience foods, canned foods and making up creative casseroles became commonplace as busy families sought quick and inexpensive meals. Some retro foods still evoke the sense of bygone days and others are just vanished from today's dinner tables. There are a ton of popular recipes that are no longer in style that younger generations get lost in. From the gelatin desserts to the odd flavor combinations. For some reason, these 70's foods remind me of a different way of cooking in the home environment that is quite different from my current dietary choices.
