Kuwait Airways Launches Flights to 5 New Destinations

Kuwait Airways is set to significantly expand its international network in 2026 with the launch of direct flights to five exciting new destinations across Europe, Asia and the Indian Ocean, airline officials have confirmed.

The move reflects the carrier’s ongoing strategy to broaden connectivity and offer travellers more options for leisure and business travel.

The new destinations include:

  • Mykonos, Greece – A beloved Aegean island famous for its beaches, nightlife and scenic villages, with flights scheduled twice weekly starting 14 June 2026.
  • Moscow, Russia – Direct service to the Russian capital will operate three times a week, offering travellers access to rich history, culture and business opportunities.
  • Beijing, China – The airline’s new link to China’s bustling capital will open fresh opportunities for tourism, commerce and cultural exchange.
  • Maldives – Flights to this tropical island paradise will bring Malé and other atoll gateways within easier reach for Gulf holidaymakers seeking sun, sea and sand.
  • Phuket, Thailand – The popular Thai beach destination rounds out the list, adding yet another route to Southeast Asia’s vibrant travel scene.

These additions are part of Kuwait Airways’ broader network expansion, reinforcing its position as a leading Gulf carrier with growing reach to Europe, Asia and beyond. The airline already serves more than 60 destinations globally, connecting Kuwait International Airport with cities across continents and offering a range of frequencies to meet passenger demand.

The Mykonos route, in particular, marks a welcome return to the Cyclades after previous seasonal services, inviting both leisure travellers and regional visitors to explore the island’s iconic charms.

The move to add Beijing and the Maldives underscores Kuwait Airways’ strategy to tap into key tourism and business markets in Asia, while the new Phuket service caters to long-haul leisure traffic heading to one of Thailand’s most popular holiday hubs.

Exact launch dates and flight frequencies for Beijing, Maldives and Phuket will be announced closer to rollout, with services expected to commence in mid-2026 as part of the carrier’s seasonal schedule adjustments.

With these additions, Kuwait Airways continues to enhance travel options for passengers in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region, offering easier access to world-class destinations and strengthening global connectivity in the aviation market.
