Kuwait International Book Fair Returns on This Date
Kuwait Prepares for 48th Kuwait International Book Fair, November 19–29 2025
The Kingdom of Kuwait is gearing up to host the 48th edition of the Kuwait International Book Fair from November 19 to November 29, 2025, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al‑Abdullah Al‑Ahmad Al‑Sabah.
Organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), the fair will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Mishrif (Al-Mishrif), eagerly anticipated as Kuwait’s flagship cultural-literary event.
A key highlight of this year’s fair is the designation of the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honour, symbolising strong cultural ties between the two nations. The programme will also mark Kuwait’s selection as the “Arab Capital of Culture and Media 2025,” adding further prestige to the event.

In addition to the book stalls and publisher pavilions, organisers are planning a rich cultural programme. This includes a special “Young Author” pavilion aimed at nurturing children and youth, in line with NCCAL’s commitment to the next generation of readers and writers.
For visitors, the fair promises access to hundreds of international and regional publishers, a wide selection of Arabic- and English-language titles, author-meet sessions, literary discussions, children’s zones and much more. While final details of each session are still being finalised, the November dates and high-profile patronage underline the fair’s significance on Kuwait’s cultural calendar.
