Nobu Restaurant to Open in Kuwait

The renowned luxury lifestyle brand Nobu is set to open a new venue in Kuwait, marking a significant addition to the Gulf’s upscale dining landscape.

According to a recent announcement, Nobu Hospitality will launch both Nobu Residences and the Nobu restaurant at Hessah Plaza, located within the Hessah District project in Kuwait City.

The Nobu brand—founded in 1994 by chef Nobu Matsuhisa together with actor Robert De Niro and producer Meir Teper—has become synonymous with world-class Japanese-Peruvian cuisine and luxury hospitality worldwide.

Bringing it to Kuwait signals a growing appetite in the region for experiential dining and high-end lifestyle offerings.

The announcement did not specify an official opening date, but the location within Hessah Plaza hints at the broader development ambitions of the Hessah District project—positioning this as far more than just a standalone restaurant launch.

For diners in Kuwait, the arrival of Nobu means access to signature dishes like black cod miso and tempura kaiten in a region that increasingly embraces global gastronomic brands. For the market, it underscores Kuwait’s push to diversify its hospitality and entertainment sectors and attract luxury-conscious consumers.
