First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah has awarded Kuwait’s first 15-year Golden Residency to Yusuff Ali M A, Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu Group International. Golden Residency is an important step in modernising Kuwait’s residency system. He said it will help attract quality investment and capital, and support Kuwait’s position as a strong economic hub in line with its development vision.
He added that the initiative shows the state’s commitment to creating a stable and investor-friendly environment. It also helps build confidence in Kuwait’s administrative and legislative system, supports economic growth, and contributes to sustainable development.
Sheikh Fahad said the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Public Authority for Civil Information, developed the Golden Residency framework based on clear standards and international best practices. He also said the framework fully follows legal and regulatory requirements.
He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to improving services for investors, strengthening confidence and stability, and updating regulations regularly to keep pace with Kuwait’s economic and development goals.
