Ford Motor Company just put out a pretty serious safety recall, hitting around a quarter million compact cars, because there’s this unresolved engine problem that they say wasn’t fully corrected the first time. The company filed stuff with safety regulators after they realized a previous fix for a dangerous stalling situation was carried out wrong, across a huge part of the fleet. So, this is basically pointing to a rough software glitch that can leave a whole lot of drivers dealing with sudden loss of power out on public roads, and that’s not small.
