Japanese sports cars were once a popular choice for sports car fans due to their reliability, tunability and iconic design. Not all of the models were necessarily collector favorites, though. Certain performance cars have fallen out of favor due to the increasing maintenance cost, lack of resale value, or the shifting fashions of the times.
