New Date Announces for Kuwait's Sports Day 2026

The Kuwait Sports for All Federation has officially announced that Kuwait’s Sports Day 2026 will be held on Saturday, February 14, after being postponed from its original date due to unfavorable weather conditions, federation officials confirmed on Monday.

The annual national celebration, a major community-focused event promoting physical activity, healthy lifestyles and social inclusion, will take place along the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway, a scenic venue linking Kuwait City to northern districts.

According to Faisal Al-Maqseed, head of the Kuwait Sports for All Federation, the decision to shift the date aims to prioritize the safety of participants and preserve public property, ensuring everyone can enjoy the festivities in optimal conditions. He also assured that the event will be organized smoothly and offer an enjoyable experience for all who attend.

Kuwait’s Sports Day brings together citizens and residents from across the country for a day of running, walking, cycling and other fitness activities. The event underscores Kuwait’s commitment to encouraging an active lifestyle and fostering community spirit.

The previous edition, held in February 2025, drew a large turnout with tens of thousands of participants taking part in races, recreational activities and family-friendly segments on the causeway, highlighting the event’s growing popularity and importance in Kuwait’s sporting calendar.

Organizers are expected to release detailed schedules and registration information closer to the event date, inviting public participation from all age groups and backgrounds.
