Kuwait has successfully restored several overhead power lines that were damaged by falling debris, authorities confirmed, assuring residents that the country’s electricity grid remains stable and functioning efficiently.

The Kuwait Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that repair teams have completed work on multiple affected lines following recent damage. According to the ministry, five out of the nine damaged overhead lines have now been recommissioned after undergoing thorough technical inspections and safety checks.

Ministry spokesperson Eng. Fatima Jawhar Hayat said the restoration work was conducted under strict technical and security standards to ensure the stability of Kuwait’s power grid and maintain an uninterrupted electricity supply across affected areas.

Hayat explained that repair teams followed the ministry’s contingency plans to respond quickly to the damage, allowing restoration operations to be completed efficiently. In addition to repairing the lines, engineers carried out comprehensive inspections to ensure the infrastructure meets safety and operational requirements.

The ministry also confirmed that security and technical teams continue to monitor the power network as part of ongoing precautionary measures. These inspections aim to verify system safety, enhance grid readiness, and prevent further disruptions.

Hayat reassured the public that Kuwait’s electrical system is currently stable and operating efficiently, emphasizing that authorities remain committed to ensuring reliable power supply while strengthening energy sustainability and security across the country.
