Many modern automatic vehicles are implemented with a manual mode that provides more control to the driver without the necessity of a traditional clutch pedal. This is typically identified by a “+” and a “–” icon that can be seen near the gear selector and enables the driver to determine the gears the transmission goes through. It still operates the automatic gearbox, but instead, communicates with the driver to change gear to create an interactive driving experience.
