The US President and White House officials have been making various contradictory statements.

In an unexpected twist, the US President Donald Trump has stated that he is willing to walk away from the US-Israel war on Iran, with the Strait of Hormuz still closed.

He said that other countries, such as France, will be responsible for negotiating the reopening of the strait, while China can negotiate its own shipping deal with Tehran.

If the US President follows through on this statement, it would leave the GCC countries and the global economy with a critical threat unresolved.

This statement contradicts President Trump's earlier statement about the war with Iran possibly taking two or three more weeks.

He is set to address his nation on Wednesday night, April 1, which will be Thursday morning, 5:00 a.m. GST.
