The scientific world accepted Earth as an onion with its four layers until scientists discovered the existence of another layer which they called the "hidden" fifth layer. Researchers at the Australian National University led by Joanne Stephenson have demonstrated through their analysis of extensive datasets that the Earth conceals a unique structure which exists beneath its deepest core.
