We are always given a script of love as worst sides and reciprocal happiness. We imagine relaxed and mutual friendship, smiling, and unconditional affection. However, behind the gentle backdrop of home life lies some deeper, usually dark truth. The choice to stick with a wilting or struggling relationship is not witnessed as happy by most wives; rather, it is a carefully instilled obligatory feeling, an imaginary pattern of some outside influences, or even an absolute terror of the unfamiliar. Staying is not an expression of acceptance but many a silent, long process of personal sacrifice which eats the heart out gradually. It is a love that is not in any way healing, but deep and irreversibly emptying.
