Worshippers to gather at mosques only as authorities set 6:08 AM prayer time nationwide.

Kuwait has officially announced the prayer timings and venues for Eid al-Fitr 2026, with authorities confirming that prayers will be held at 6:08 AM across the country.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs stated that Eid prayers will take place exclusively in mosques where Friday (Jumu’ah) prayers are عادة held, rather than in open prayer grounds.

The decision to limit prayers to mosques reflects organisational and safety considerations, ensuring controlled and orderly gatherings for worshippers marking one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.

Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is expected to fall on March 20, 2026, subject to moon sighting. The day traditionally begins with a special congregational prayer shortly after sunrise, followed by family gatherings, charitable giving, and festive celebrations.

Authorities have encouraged worshippers to arrive early, follow guidelines issued by mosque officials, and cooperate with organisers to ensure a smooth and safe prayer experience.

The announcement provides clarity for residents preparing for the holiday, as Kuwait finalises arrangements for Eid celebrations across all governorates.
