Kuwait's Ministry of Defense has announced a security incident at the nation's northern land border, describing the event as a "heinous aggressive attack" carried out using two booby-trapped drones. The ministry stated that the unmanned aerial vehicles targeted two specific sites along the border earlier today.

According to the official spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, the drones were guided via fiber optic wire and originated from the Republic of Iraq. The devices successfully struck the border posts, resulting in material damage to the facilities. Despite the severity of the attack, Colonel Al-Atwan confirmed that there were no human casualties reported in the incident.

Following the attack, the Ministry of Defense stated that relevant authorities have immediately initiated necessary measures to address the situation. These actions include securing the affected areas and conducting a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused by the drone strikes. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges along the Kuwait-Iraq border, prompting an immediate response from Kuwaiti defense forces to evaluate the impact and strengthen perimeter defenses.
