The best tips for keeping your skin healthy and glowing this summer without looking greasy or sweaty.

Water!

it may seem obvious but its an extremely vital step to keep your skin acne free and healthy, cut down on caffeinated drinks as they dry you out more and replace them with water and fresh juice, of course, that doesn't mean you have to completely replace caffeine but drinking more water is the way to go.

Face Mist

For a quick on-the-go refreshment, spritz a face mist on your face and leave it to air dry. store bought face mists can be expensive so try mixing rose water and aloe vera gel in an empty spray bottle, there are several other recipes online for face mist as well.

Cool showers

After a long day in the sun, a cool shower is the best solution to soothe your body and face rinsing out dirt and helping to fight acne, a hot shower will dry you out more and brittle your hair.

Moisturizer/ SPF cream

Obviously keeping your skin hydrated is important so after cleansing/ exfoliating throw on a hydrating moisturizer, gel-based moisturizers are better suited for heat and give off a healthy glow, leave it to soak in for a few minutes then rub your SPF sunscreen in for extra sun protection.

Exfoliate

Hot weather and dust are a common cause for acne, to protect your skin from clogged pores and dirt exfoliate 1-3 times a week, depending on your skin type. Over-exfoliating irritates your face and rubs off skin leaving it even more exposed to dirt and sweat. exfoliation helps get rid of dullness and dead skin.
