The concept of growth is usually discussed as something thrilling and empowering when in fact things are much more chaotic. The actual growth normally commences as the comfort stops. It challenges you to consider things that are being used and beliefs, and part of yourself that were comfortable. Change may be awkward, discomforting and even painful since it makes one you have to disappear what you know before you are completely ready to the next step. Nevertheless, without this agony, development remains abstract. It is admirable but not something to have. It also becomes simpler to navigate resistance rather than avoid it because of the understanding of why growing is an inherent part of life.
