David Beckham has become Britain’s first billionaire sportsman after he and his wife Victoria doubled their wealth in the past year. The couple now boasts a combined fortune of £1.185 billion (€1.36 billion), as revealed by the Sunday Times Rich List. This marks a dramatic rise from their previously estimated net worth of £500 million (€574 million) in 2025.

The substantial increase in their wealth is credited to Beckham’s investments in the US. The recent signing of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami until 2028 has boosted the value of Beckham's stake in the football club, while a significant property development adjoining Inter Miami’s stadium provided an additional financial windfall. On the other hand, Victoria Beckham’s fashion line has seen revenues exceeding £100 million (€115 million), further contributing to their growing fortune.

Liam and Noel Gallagher, former Oasis stars, have also debuted on the rich list. With their sell-out tour last year comprising 41 shows between July and November, the siblings garnered an estimated joint wealth of £375 million (€431 million).

Steven Knight, the creator of the hit series Peaky Blinders, is currently producing a documentary about the Gallagher brothers’ reunion concerts. The film is slated for cinema screenings and television broadcast.

Joining the Gallaghers on the newcomers list are Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis and her family, whose wealth is now estimated at £400 million (€459 million). Eavis’s father, Michael, held the first Glastonbury festival at Worthy Farm back in 1970, and the business is now partly owned by family trusts.

Claiming the top spot on the annual rich list once again are the Hinduja family, marking their fourth consecutive year in the position. Following the passing of patriarch Gopichand Hinduja last year, his children Sanjay and Dheeraj Hinduja have inherited control of the family’s fortunes. Their wealth has risen to £38 billion (€43.64 billion), up from £35.3 billion (€40.54 billion) last year.

The list also features a slew of household names, including musicians Elton John, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Brian May; theatre impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber; author JK Rowling; make-up mogul Charlotte Tilbury; and racing driver Lewis Hamilton.

Boxer Tyson Fury makes his debut in the 40 Under 40 list this year with an estimated wealth of £162 million (€186 million). He is surpassed by fellow musicians Ed Sheeran (£410 million or €471 million), Harry Styles (£235 million or €270 million), and Adele (£172 million or €198 million).

Pop star Dua Lipa enters the rankings with a fortune of £150 million (€172 million), while actor Daniel Radcliffe places 39th with an estimated wealth of £103 million (€118 million).
